The Operating Room Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by maintaining cleanliness and disinfecting operating rooms between procedures. They are also responsible for transporting patients, managing surgical equipment, and stocking supplies to ensure efficient room turnover.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, computer literacy, and previous experience with medical equipment.
Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse / Clinical Coordinator and professional nursing staff, the Operating Room Assistant (ORA) performs a variety of activities that provides support for the nursing staff within Surgical Services.
