The Nurse Practitioner provides direct clinical care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention. They collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure appropriate client management and regulatory documentation.
Candidates must hold NYS RN and NP licensure, a Master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health, and a valid DEA registration. One to two years of experience in addiction or mental health is preferred, though new graduates are welcome for certain programs.
What You Will Do Provide direct clinical care including assessments, medication management, and medication administration. Provide psychiatric evaluations to clients. Provide treatment planning recommendations. Medication management. Provide psychiatric emergency crisis management and consultation. Participate in clinical training and staff development. Ensure documentation meets regulatory and accrediting agency standards. Provide assistance with administrative work.
Who You Will Be NYS RN and NP licensure. Valid DEA registration BLS certification. eMedNY Provider or willingness to enroll as a “Provider” upon hire. Active NPI. Master’s degree from an accredited advanced Nurse Practitioner program in Psychiatric-Mental Health. At least One-Two (1-2) years’ experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner preferably in addiction medicine or substance use and/or mental health treatment programs for designated programs. New graduates welcome for designated programs. Knowledgeable about federal and state regulations governing medical/clinical treatment in substance use treatment programs. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to patients with a variety of psycho social issues. Ability to work with a medical and clinical interdisciplinary staff to ensure appropriate management of clients. Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR. Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, presentation and organizational skills. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Team player and ability to work independently. Good attention to detail and accuracy. #li-onsite
