The Intake Coordinator manages program referrals, screens candidates for eligibility, and coordinates admissions for the Emergency & Transitional Housing Program. They are also responsible for maintaining the program waitlist and generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field, or an Associate's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and experience with EMR systems are required.
$23/hr - $26/hr commensurate with experience
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.
The Housing Works Emergency & Transitional Housing Program (ETH) provides time limited transitional housing and support services to individuals reentering the community following periods of incarceration or other justice system involvement. Program participants engage in a variety of onsite services, including case management, vocational training, housing advocacy and mental health support that address barriers to accessing housing in the community and help build skills that participants can use to achieve and maintain stable functioning in the community.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Intake Coordinator plays an integral role managing program referrals and coordinating admission. These activities include managing the program waitlist, collaborating with internal and external referral partners, screening and reviewing referrals for eligibility and program site placement, data entry and record keeping and managing the initial admission and enrollment activities. This is an ideal position for professionals with social services and data entry experience seeking to further develop skills and experience in the reentry and housing sector. They will have the opportunity to work along side like-minded professionals committed to improving outcomes for justice-involved individuals.

• Bachelor’s Degree required in social services, psychology, social work or other related field or Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of social services or data entry experience.
