Provide routine direct nursing care and daily living assistance to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, point of care testing, and monitoring patient vitals and conditions.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and hold a BLS Certification. Prior direct patient care experience is preferred but not required.

The Adult Progressive/Telemetry Unit is located on the fourth floor of the South Tower building. This is a 32-bed unit with capabilities for telemetry cardiac monitoring. The most frequent diagnoses for the medical patients are cardiovascular disorders and cardio-respiratory conditions. The surgical patients represent a variety of specialties including but not limited to general surgery and cardiovascular surgery. Cardiovascular intervention/procedural patients (post cardiac stent, cardiac device placement, etc.) are often placed on this unit. Medical and/or surgical patients requiring a more intensive level of care, as well as cardiac monitoring may be PCU level of care. Examples of the PCU level of care include but are not limited to vasoactive drug administration, invasive monitoring, advanced sepsis, and DKA.
