Provide ultrasound and vascular services in a hospital setting based on provider orders. Coordinate procedures with radiologists and interpreting physicians while following policy manuals.
Must be ARDMS board registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with certifications in Abdomen, OB, Breast, and Vascular. Candidates must hold Iowa permits to practice and pass a Physical Capacity Exam.
Provide ultrasound services per provider order in the hospital. Assists in the scheduling and completes all Ultrasound/Vascular procedures as described in the policy and procedure manual; assists in the coordination of procedures with the radiologist and interpreting physicians. HOURS: Full or Part Time hours available, Monday - Friday
Certifications and Permits to Practice in Iowa must be provided. Must be board registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Must hold certifications in Abdomen, OB, Breast and Vascular or willing to seek needed certifications. Good computer, written and verbal communication skills are essential. Physical Requirements: Sonographer must be able to routinely lift 10-50 lbs, carry 10-50 lbs, and reach at, above and below the shoulder. Sonographer should be able to occasionally lift and/or carry above 50lbs. Sonographer will also be required to pass Physical Capacity Exam.
