Position Summary
- Responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy and functions while delivering high-quality patient care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform ultrasound examinations using sonographic equipment
- Identify and observe areas of concern and report urgent abnormalities promptly
- Send images to PACS for Radiologist interpretation
- Document patient information accurately and timely in patient charts
- Maintain sonography equipment and report equipment issues
- Manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and team members
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in required in-service education and training programs
Qualifications
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- One (1) year of acute care sonography experience preferred IDEAL CANDIDATE
