Provide basic nursing care and assistance with daily living activities to residents according to their individual care plans. Maintain a safe, clean, and homelike environment while monitoring and reporting changes in resident conditions.
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides nursing and nursing related services to residents consistent with each resident's comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. All resident care is provided in a manner that meets the resident's physical, mental, and psychosocial needs and enables the individual to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of functioning. The Certified Nursing Assistant maintains a "homelike" environment for the residents, protests and promotes resident's rights and assists the person to maintain independence and control to the greatest extent possible.

Qualifications: Required
High School graduate of GED in order to gain knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and training.
Successful completion of a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State, within 4 months of date of hire; or successful completion of a State approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program and no break in service of 24 months or longer.
Acceptable verification of training and competency evaluation from the State Nurse Aide Registry concerning abuse, neglect, mistreatment of residents or misappropriation of resident's property.
• Prior experience giving personal care to impaired individuals in a health care setting preferred.
