The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient support services and performs office clerical duties under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality patient care focused on desired outcomes.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, be a graduate of a Medical Assistant program, and hold current AAMA or equivalent certification. BLS completion from the American Heart Association is required, and 2 years of experience is preferred.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), under the direction and supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, provides patient support services, as well as office clerical duties. Medical Assistants coordinate patient care under the tenets of Centra’s Professional Practice model and collaborate with providers and members of the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, focused on achieving desired outcomes.
