Job Description: Surgical Tech Student
This position is responsible for performing surgical tech/central sterile tech tasks and related tech service duties under the direction of the OR Manager and/or Circulating Nurse. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing OR rooms with instruments, sutures and other supplies and equipment, performs as a scrub tech according to procedure standards, assists in needle, sponge and instrument counts with RN. Assist with other duties as outlined by the OR Manager and/or Circulating Nurse.
The candidate must be a Surgical Tech student capable of performing tech service duties under the direction of the OR Manager or Circulating Nurse. Ability to follow procedure standards for sterilization and surgical assistance is required.
