Assists gastroenterologists and surgeons with GI procedures and provides patient care in clinical settings, including ER and ICU units. Responsible for the cleaning, handling, and preventive maintenance of GI endoscopic equipment.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification with 1-2 years of relevant medical experience. Preference is given to those with 2+ years of experience as a GI Tech or PCA and Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification.
45am - 3:15pm The GI Lab Technician assists the gastroenterologist and/or surgeon with a number of GI procedures and provides patient care in the clinical setting specifically assisting with bedside cases done in the ER and ICU units. Also responsible for the care, cleaning, handling and preventive maintenance of GI endoscopic equipment and instrumentation.
