The Activities Assistant plans and conducts group and individual activities for residents in Memory Care and Assisted Living. Responsibilities include leading social, motor, sensory, and self-care activities, as well as conducting fitness programs.
The candidate must be caring and passionate about serving residents in a retirement community setting. Ability to teach fitness programs and lead diverse activity types is required.
The Activities Assistant plans, coordinates, and conducts group and individual activities for our Memory Care and/or Assisted Living. The Activities Assistant provides residents with individualized and group activities that must include: Social Activities - games, music Gross Motor Activities - exercise, dancing, gardening, cooking Crafts - decorations, pictures Sensory Enhancement - distinguishing, pictures and picture books, reminiscing and scent and tactile stimulation Outdoor Activities - walking, field trips Self-Care Activities - dressing, personal hygiene, grooming Ability to teach/conduct fitness programs
