The Mammography Technologist ensures all procedures are conducted efficiently while adhering to established quality control standards and infection control procedures. Key duties include preparing rooms and equipment, positioning patients, operating machinery to acquire reliable data, and assisting surgeons during procedures.
Candidates must have successfully completed formal Radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved school and meet the requirements for registry by the ARRT and/or CRT. Preferred qualifications include being a registered mammography tech with over one year of experience in a medical radiology setting, along with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for ensuring that all procedures take place in a proper and efficient manner. They are to ensure that all equipment is prepared, and that the procedure meets all established quality control standards.
