The role involves diagnosing and treating cancer patients using advanced radiation therapy techniques and developing individualized treatment plans. The physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage patient responses to treatment.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology. An active medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky is required.
This contract position is primarily on-site, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with our dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care in the field of oncology.
As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized radiation therapy treatment plans Administer radiation therapy according to established protocols Monitor and manage patient responses to treatment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately Provide education and support to patients and their families Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation oncology
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Board certification in Radiation Oncology or eligibility for certification Active medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky Strong clinical skills and knowledge of radiation therapy techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and safety Experience in a clinical oncology setting preferred
Schedule: 8a-4:30p
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 20 per day
Duties: Oversee treatments, new consults, follow-ups, planning, status checks, and tumor conference participation
Case Types: Various oncologic disease states
Required Procedures: Sbrt, imrt, 3d, srs
Support Staff: 1 RN, 4 Radiation Therapists, 2 Medical Physicists, and 3 Dosimetrists
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
