• Responsibilities: The Surgical Technologist 3 demonstrates superior knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques in the role of the first scrub. Anticipates variances from expected outcomes and responds to patient needs immediately. Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments. Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities. Reserves as a resource in at least 3 specialty areas/procedures and assumes responsibility for the management of specialty equipment and instrumentation. May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent Experience: 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT required upon start License: Registered Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start
