The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing client status, administering medications, and performing intakes within a mental health and addiction treatment setting. They also handle chart audits, provide emergency coverage, and assist in training other medical staff.
Candidates must hold an active Nevada LVN, LPT, or RN license and possess current CPR, First Aid, and TB certifications. A valid Nevada driver's license and at least one year of experience in detox or residential treatment is preferred.
Saturdays and Sundays 11am to 7: 30pm

Summary We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center in Reno, NV. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by providing compassionate support and effective therapeutic interventions to individuals seeking recovery. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of those we serve.
Assesses the client’s status on an ongoing basis and ensures that pertinent information is documented in the chart. Assists with medication administration. Assists with client safety checks. Performs client intakes. Completes routine chart audits when needed. Give thorough reports to oncoming staff. Provides coverage in emergency situations as needed. Communicates directly with providers via Tiger Connect. Assists in training BHTs and other medical staff. Assists in obtaining coverage for call offs when necessary. Other duties as assigned
Active Nevada LVN, LPT or RN license At least one year of experience in detox, residential treatment or related healthcare setting preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Nevada driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage. Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray. Must have current CPR and First Aid certification. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team. Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills.
