The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Additionally, the pathologist provides aural rehabilitation and implements augmentative and alternative communication systems.
Candidates must hold a current state license to practice speech pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from a CAA-accredited program. Current CPR certification is required, and one or more years of experience is preferred.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
