The Medical Assistant performs a blend of clerical duties, such as scheduling and EMR updates, and clinical tasks including taking vitals and preparing patients for exams. They support providers by facilitating patient flow and assisting during medical examinations.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Medical Assistant certification from recognized bodies like AAMA, AMT, or NHA. BLS certification is also required, while no prior experience is necessary.

High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program Experience No experience Certification and Licensure BLS Certification Current Medical Assistant Certification awarded through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), National Association of Healthcare Professionals (NAHP) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA). Medical Assistant Certification other than those listed requires THMG Leadership Approval.
