The RN is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing the overall care of cardiac telemetry patients, including those with CHF and arrhythmias. They must collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Candidates must hold a BSN degree and a New York Registered Nurse license, along with BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. While new graduates are welcome, one or more years of telemetry experience and proficiency in reading cardiac monitors are preferred.
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias) Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
Passion for Cardiology New Grads are welcome 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association
