Provide direct care and residential counseling to stabilize individuals in mental health crises and help them regain independent living skills. Collaborate with service teams to implement individual service plans and provide transportation and advocacy for medical appointments.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, and availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
Crisis Residential Program [https://www.sheppardpratt.org/care-finder/crisis-residential-program/] services provide short-term intensive, round-the-clock, personalized support to help stabilize someone having a mental health crisis so they can avoid hospitalization. Our teams collaborate with providers who are already involved in an individual’s treatment and works to link clients to other services offered by Sheppard Pratt or other community providers.

This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients.
As you spend time with your clients, you will find yourself developing a rapport with your clients where you become part of their trusted support system. You will see their wins as your wins as they work their way through the program and cheer them on as they progress in their recovery.

Pay rate for this position is $19.31 hourly.
