Requires a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences, Clinical Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Must be qualified to perform nutrition-related duties and adhere to clinical and administrative policies.
Description Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team in Newburgh. RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $35.00 per hour WORK LOCATION(S): Newburgh, NY (Ability to work one day per week remotely) STATUS: Full-Time
Conduct a complete nutrition assessment, determine nutrition risk, and enroll participants. Conduct a breastfeeding assessment and provide participant centered counseling that helps a mother initiate breastfeeding, establish a milk supply, exclusively breastfeed, and continue breastfeeding. Address common breastfeeding concerns and issue breast pumps. Develop and implement individual care plans (ICPs) and oversee high risk care to all participants. Refer high-risk participants to other health-related and social services, as necessary. Prescribe, tailor, authorize and reissue food package. Provide and document participant-centered nutrition education/counseling (individual/family sessions) for participants. Ensure the efficient flow of the assessment and education processes. Track high-risk participants’ progress in improving their health and document for outcomes. Provide leadership in planning, conducting, and evaluating participant-centered nutrition services. Provide leadership in developing, conducting, and evaluating nutrition training for LA staff in nutrition education topics. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor and Program Director. Attend and participate in monthly department, All Staff, and other required meetings. Be familiar with and adhere to all clinical, administrative, and general policies and procedures as outlined in the Cornerstone Family HealthCare Policy and Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook. Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Cornerstone Family HealthCare including, but not limited to, patient confidentiality, financials, and employee relations. Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nutritional Sciences, community nutrition, clinical dietetics, foods and nutrition from a regionally accredited college or university, or one recognized by New York State Education Department
