Deliver hands-on physical therapy and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and the use of assistive devices under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate documentation to ensure a smooth recovery journey in the home setting.
Requires an Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program and an active California PTA license. Candidates must have current AHA CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and a reliable insured vehicle.
Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics. Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team. Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training. Perform other duties as required for patient services Associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California. Current CPR certification with AHA. Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and willingness to travel to patient homes.
