About the role

The Locum MD provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses. Responsibilities include developing care plans, promoting preventive health, and maintaining accurate medical records using Epic.

Description

This contract position is on-site and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused medical practice.

As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, and promoting preventive health measures. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care, while also gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses Develop and implement patient care plans Provide preventive health services and education to patients Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records Stay current with medical advancements and best practices Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state Experience in Family Medicine preferred Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement Flexibility to adapt to various patient needs and practice demands

Schedule: Monday-Friday, four days in-clinic & one admin day remote

Shift Information: 8a-5p

Daily Volume: 14-16 patients

Patient Population

Pediatrics - geriatrics

Support Staff: MDs, APRNs & MA

EMR: Epic

Board-ceritifcation required
