The Nurse Intern will assist in the delivery of patient care within the PACU Department. All duties are performed under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must be entering their final year of nursing school or be a graduate awaiting a temporary permit. BLS certification and proficiency in basic technical skills are required.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Intern for our PACU Department. The Nurse Intern will assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Must be entering final year of Nursing School. Documental proficiency of basic technical skills and current enrollment in an approved school of nursing or a graduate from an approved school of nursing in the process of receiving a temporary permit.
Each Nurse Intern (RN) must work a minimum twenty hours a week. Individual exceptions may be made by the Clinical Manager related to school and clinical schedules.
BLS required. Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff; manual dexterity required to use hands easily and skillfully while aiding patients.
