Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities based on plans established by a Licensed Physical Therapist. Document patient progress using SOAP format and monitor patient status to report changes to the supervising therapist.
Requires completion of a two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution and a current West Virginia Physical Therapy Assistant License. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Administering treatments set up by Licensed Physical Therapist, documentation of patient's status and progress, and ongoing monitoring and reporting to the therapist any change in patient's status.
Responsible to: Director of Rehabilitation; Lead Physical therapist; Staff Physical Therapist
Nature of supervision received: Indirect
Rehab Tech, Students, and Volunteers.

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Successful completion of a two-year Physical Therapy Assistant Program from an accredited institution. Current West Virginia Physical Therapy Assistant License.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with and understand patients of all ages, visitors and other hospital personnel including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Must have basic
knowledge of aseptic technique.
