Perform a variety of technical diagnostic ultrasound studies using independent judgment and initiative. Work under the direction and clinical supervision of a physician or authorized designee.
Requires certification and registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Abdomen. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and one year of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is desired.
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for our HIMG office. Under the direction of the physician or authorized designee and with clinical supervision from the physician, the primary purpose is to perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative, in the performance of diagnostic ultrasound studies.
Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Holder of a valid and current: Registration by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Abdomen. Certification required.
One year experience as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer desired.
Ability to use a variety of ultrasound producing detection, recording devices and mechanical accessories. Ability to use computers. BLS required.
