The specialist stabilizes individuals and families experiencing homelessness within shelter or temporary lodging sites. Responsibilities include conducting HMIS intakes, performing site checks, and coordinating care for those with complex behavioral health and medical needs.
A high school diploma or GED and at least twelve months of recovery from substance use or mental health disorders are required. Preference is given to candidates with 1-3 years of healthcare experience and a Behavioral Health Technician certification.
