Job Overview Reliant Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our Behavioral Health team as a 23 Hour Crisis Worker. This position plays a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health and mental health crises within our 23 Hour Crisis Stabilization Program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, able to remain calm in high-stress situations, and committed to providing quality care and support to individuals in crisis.

This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and supervision to individuals receiving crisis stabilization services Monitor client safety, behaviors, and emotional well-being during shifts Assist clients with daily living activities and basic needs as needed Support clients through crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and observations Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinicians, nurses, and other treatment team members Assist with transportation or coordination of services when applicable Ensure compliance with Virginia DBHDS regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Respond appropriately during emergency situations

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, direct support, crisis services, or human services preferred Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health crises is highly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations Basic computer and documentation skills required

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Ability to pass: Criminal Background Check Child Protective Services Check Drug Screening DMV Driving Record Check CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Must complete all required state and company training requirements Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Skills Crisis intervention and de-escalation experience Knowledge of trauma-informed care Understanding of behavioral health diagnoses and treatment approaches Ability to manage stressful situations effectively Strong observational and problem-solving skills

Work Environment This position works directly within a behavioral health crisis stabilization setting and may involve: Exposure to individuals experiencing psychiatric or emotional distress Standing, walking, and active supervision throughout shifts Occasional crisis intervention situations requiring quick decision-making
