The nurse is responsible for ensuring client comfort and safety through vital assessments, medication management, and medical record analysis. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care for patients in addiction recovery.
Candidates must be qualified nurses (RN or LPN) capable of performing detox protocols and psychiatric care. They must adhere to strict ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
Requirements: Core
Emphasize preventative care and disease management. Facilitate COWS, CIWA, vital assessments every four hours for clients. Complete intake nursing assessments. Administer medication including those for detox protocols, psychiatric care, and medical conditions. Facilitate medical orders. Interpret Urinalysis results and provide reports for client's medical records. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements. Maintain clear, professional and appropriate boundaries with clients at all times. Quickly respond in the case of a medical emergency, following facility protocols. Participate in all provided, required training, as outlined by facility protocol, Joint Commission standards and other local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, observations, and incidents in electronic health records. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including counselors, medical and support staff as needed, to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall efficiency of the facility.
