Hamilton Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
In this role, you will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and care coordination while working closely with a team of providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

- Key responsibilities
- Prepare for clinic operations, including reviewing schedules and participating in team huddles
- Perform patient intake (vital signs, medical history, chief complaints)
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR system
- Assist providers with exams and clinical procedures
- Support care coordination by obtaining records from ER visits, hospitalizations, and specialists
- Monitor and communicate lab and diagnostic results
- Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock medical supplies
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
- Support patient education and connect patients to additional services
- Assist with clinic workflow, scheduling adjustments, and team support as needed
Qualifications
- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical or physician office setting
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Familiarity with patient-centered care models
