The LPN provides direct patient care to diverse populations and implements technical nursing procedures under the supervision of an RN or provider. They are responsible for documenting care and collaborating with team members to ensure quality delivery of services.
Candidates must hold a current Alabama or multi-state nursing license. BLS, PEARS, and MOAB certifications are required or must be obtained during the orientation period.
Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care
· Current Alabama or multi-state licensure required. · BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained the orientation period. · PEARS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within the orientation period. · MOAB required.
