Responsible for providing professional laboratory services including specimen collection, processing, and testing across various medical disciplines. Duties also include documenting results and performing essential maintenance on laboratory analyzers.
Requires a minimum of an associate degree in lab science or medical laboratory technology and at least one year of experience. Candidates must be qualified for high complex laboratories and hold or obtain ASCP or AMT certification within 12 months.
This position is responsible for providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services in a critical access hospital and outpatient setting. The MLT/MLS position collects and processes specimens using appropriate technique, performs testing and verifies assay/analyzer performance. This position is responsible for testing in all of the following areas: hematology, coagulation, microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis and transfusion medicine. Additional responsibilities include documentation and communication of laboratory results, and assay/analyzer maintenance.
