Provide hands-on personal care and support for activities of daily living to clients in their homes. Responsibilities include health monitoring, meal support, light housekeeping, and implementing care plans under RN supervision.
Requires at least one year of paid caregiving experience or a valid STNA/CNA certification. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
We are seeking a highly-skilled, compassionate, and professional Home Health Aide (STNA or CNA highly desired | experienced HHA, CHHA, DSP, or PCA will also be considered) to join our home health agency and provide hands-on personal care and support to clients in Urbana, OH, and surrounding areas of Champaign + Montgomery Counties.
Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including safe transfers plus mobility and positioning support Support safe use of assistive devices (walkers, wheelchairs, lifts) Nutrition & Meal Support Homemaking & Environmental Support (IADLs) including light housekeeping, errands, and tasks required to maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment Community Engagement & Appointment Support, Coordination, and (in approved situations) Transportation Basic Health and Safety Monitoring Care Plan Implementation Dementia & Behavioral Support (if applicable) Pro-active observation and excellent electronic documentation Client Rights, Dignity & Confidentiality Total Care Team Collaboration Ongoing Training & Certification Requirements Requirements / Non-Negotiables Job-Related Minimum of 1 year paid in-home care or caregiving experience (STNA/CNA certification in lieu of experience will be considered) Successful completion of all agency-provided HHA/PCA orientation, skills tests and competency evaluations. Willingness and timely compliance to maintain all ongoing Training & Certification Requirements Active CPR + FA certification and documentation of both (+ proof/documentation) - or willingness to complete through HCN within 2 weeks / prior to hire Medication Administration Certification is highly preferred Willing and able to regularly perform all physical demands of home care (including lifting/carrying up to 30–50 lbs. occasionally). General Employment Exceptional on-time and attendance record, and consistent availability aligned to your chosen schedule type (PT/FT/Hybrid) Character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful Willingness and ability to perform required physical demands (see below) Consent + Ability to pass a State & Federal background check (including fingerprints) Must be eligible to work in home and community-based settings (HCBS) 18yo + active Driver's License / State ID + US Work Authorization Reliable transportation to all scheduled visits, within full reach of stated travel radius and assigned clients Preferred Skills & Qualifications (not required) Experience with: G-tubes / feeding support Hoyer Lifts Seizure protocols Behavioral health or crisis response High School diploma or GED Active STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) or CNA certification, or previous home health aide certification Previous home health experience (1-3 years) Familiarity with Medicaid waiver services
This is available as part-time or full-time employment, where your availability aligns with client service hours Flexible shift times also available - we build reliable, consistent schedules that fit your lifestyle and pay weekly. Weekly pay (on Fridays) including paid onboarding and training. No Requirements for On-Call shifts, Weekends, extensive travel distances, or overtime (when not desired). Friendly travel expectations: Up to 30-minute client travel radius (from your home) is required. Up to 45- or 60-minute client travel radius (from your home) is highly desired (not required). Candidates seeking cases closer to home (<30 minutes) will be considered if necessary. Mileage reimbursement between multiple clients is provided. Position Reports to: RN Case Manager / Program or Regional Administrator A successful Home Health Aide provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist in their region. You will be assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professionals and perform services for clients as necessary to maintain personal comfort and safety in their home.
