The RN provides professional nursing care to patients in the extended care wing, including assessments, implementing care plans, and administering medications. They also supervise nursing assistants and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Candidates must be a Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois and hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA. A college diploma in nursing is required.
The Extended Care staff nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) who uses the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients receiving therapies within the multidisciplinary activities of the extended care wing. The RN supervises work assignments of the nursing assistants and is responsible to the Nurse Manager. The RN will provide professional nursing care for all patients of the unit according to the established standards, practices and philosophies of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH).
