Position Overview We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support the Section of Surgical Oncology.
The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in oncology and surgical specialties.
Responsibilities Include: Patient population: Providing care for patients with malignant and complex conditions of the gastrointestinal tract (including liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach), skin, and soft tissues (including melanoma and sarcoma) Inpatient care: First-assistant in the OR (robot, laparoscopic, open cases).
Rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase who are admitted to the hospital for surgical oncology and colorectal surgery Post-operative wound care and pain management Timely collaboration with consulting physicians Coordinating discharges from the hospital Evaluation of new consults.
Outpatient Care: evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as a multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, and performs clinic procedures as applicable.
