• The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
• Night Shift: 2 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7:30a; 2 weekend shifts (4 monthly) per pay period REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
• Current license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
• One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
• Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
• Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
