Description

This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical practice setting.

As a Locum Medical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for patients with various types of cancer Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans Conduct patient consultations and follow-up appointments Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies Administer chemotherapy and other treatments as necessary Educate patients and families about treatment options and cancer management Document patient information accurately in medical records Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical trials as needed

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Medical Oncology Active medical license in the state of practice Experience in oncology care and treatment protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Excellent organizational and time management abilities Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

  • Volume: 6 inpatients, 4-6 outpatients

  • Types: All tumors, including benign
  • No liquid/malignant cases, including leukemia
  • Support
  • Staff: Other physicians, APPs, and clinic nurses Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
