Responsibilities: Facilitate group and individual rehabilitative activities that align with each client's individualized treatment plan and therapeutic goals. Demonstrates activities that address the purpose of the Rehabilitative group and individual client plan. Follows the State Mental Health and County Mental Health guidelines for any service being provided. Provide authorized services only, unless directed by the Clinical Director to provide additional unauthorized services Converses with clients to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction. Serves meals and eats with clients to act as a role model as it may apply to rehabilitative or behavior plans. Accompanies clients on shopping trips and instructs and counsels clients in the purchase of personal items as it may apply to rehabilitative or behavior plans. Leads therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games, with clients.

MHRS:
MHRS I: Associate's degree +6 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
MHRS II: Bachelor's degree +4 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
MHRS
III: Master's degree +2 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting. To qualify for this position, your degree must be in a field directly related to mental health.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points). Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, FBI & CCL. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment. Driving Requirement: Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements. Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
Training
RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation, which includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, introductions to all RCS departments, and other valuable trainings.
