Summary: In compliance with regulation and company policy, CNA provides hands-on care, in alignment with the resident’s care plan, in a safe homelike environment. The CNA is responsible for the direct, quality care for each resident.

Provides services to residents as directed by the care plan and/or Director of Health & Wellness
Reviews and provides input into the resident care plan
Reports on the condition of residents to the Wellness team as well as documents in EHR
Responds to security system quickly and appropriately and answers call bells immediately, taking appropriate action and resetting call bell
Assists with toileting and disposes of incontinence products properly to ensure sanitation
Fosters resident rights in each resident interaction
Assists residents with ADLs as identified in care plans
Implements OSHA standards and safety standards in assisting residents and completing daily work
Reports accidents immediately and follows a process for documentation and treatment
Understands and practices the proper method of care, disposal, and exposure risk to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials
Implements universal precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
Attends regular department/community meetings, cross over meetings and care plan meetings
Maintains strict confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA requirements
Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards
Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members
