The Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician supports advanced patient care, diagnostics, anesthesia, specialty procedures, and client communication within our Internal Medicine department.
Provide high-quality nursing care to Internal Medicine patients Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes promptly Administer medications and treatments accurately Assist with ultrasounds, endoscopy, feeding tubes, aspirates, transfusions, and anesthesia monitoring Collect and prepare laboratory samples Maintain accurate treatment sheets and medical records Educate clients regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions Collaborate with ER, ICU, Surgery, and specialty teams Support a positive, professional, and emotionally intelligent culture
Veterinary Technician experience required Internal Medicine or specialty experience preferred ER/Critical Care experience is a plus CVT/LVT/RVT preferred but not required Strong technical skills including: Venipuncture IV catheter placement Patient monitoring Radiology assistance Laboratory sample handling Experience with ezyVet and/or VetRadar is a plus
