The technologist provides diagnostic radiology, mammographic imaging, and BMD procedures while coordinating comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include performing ordered procedures safely, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining professional standards of care.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and obtain ARRT registry in Radiography and Mammography within 12 months. CPR certification is required, and previous experience in a busy office or hospital setting is preferred.
00 am-4:30 pm.
1) General Diagnostic Duties a) Maintains standards of professional care and maintains patient confidentiality. b) Implements policies and procedures of Raleigh Radiology. c) Performs ordered procedures in a safe, efficient, and professional manner to include all required views. d) Assesses patient’s condition (physical and psychosocial); prioritizes needs, sets goals, and responds appropriately to meet those needs, which includes discharge teaching. e) Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions to care rendered. f) Administers contrast to assigned patients. g) Assists with specific tests and procedures as needed. h) Participates in the economical utilization of supplies. i) Assures that equipment is always maintained and available for use. j) Assists coworkers and physicians in giving care to patients. k) Establishes and maintains open communication. l) Utilizes teaching opportunities with patients and other significant individuals. m) Assists with / or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse occurrences in patients. n) Maintains a clean, safe, and well-maintained supply environment for patients and staff. o) On a regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other staff members both inside and outside the department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs; serves as a team player and role model for other employees in the organization, always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness, and respect; conducts oneself in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with team members, visitors, public and all employees. p) Performs other duties and accepts responsibility, as assigned.

1. CPR is required or must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. Continuous certification in CPR is required. 2. Successful completion of the registry for Radiologic Technologists with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists must be achieved within 12 months of employment. RT-R (ARRT) 3. Successful completion of registry in Mammography with ARRT must be achieved within 12 months of employment. RT-R(M)(ARRT) D.
