Coordinate the care of medical and surgical patients across hospital and clinic settings for pediatric to geriatric populations. Responsibilities include performing H&Ps, rounding, writing orders, and managing discharge summaries and treatment plans.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing school, current Louisiana State APRN licensure, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have 3-5 years of related experience and the ability to obtain limited prescriptive authority.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Louisiana State APRN Licensure or Physician Assistant Licensure Current BLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Strong computer skills Good organizational skills Ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members Maintain confidentiality Maintain CME per licensure and clinic protocols 3-5 years of related experience preferred
3-5 years of related experience preferred. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
