The Medication Aide is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments to residents according to provider orders. They must document all administration, monitor resident conditions, and provide emotional and social support.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a current Ohio Board of Nursing Medication Administration Aide Certification. Additionally, one year of experience as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) and current CPR certification are required.

The Medication Aide assists the Neighborhood Coordinator nurse with accurate and timely medication administration to the residents entrusted to our care. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail. This person will also be an enthusiastic, reliable, and compassionate individual with a passion for caring for others. The Medication Aide must be able to follow physician orders and document the medication administration accurately and in accordance with Jennings’ policies and procedures.

A. Adhere to Resident Rights policies at all times.
B. Observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
C. Observe all infection control policies.
D. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
E. Follow and assume accountability for all policies and procedures contained in the Staff Handbook.
F. Plan work in an efficient manner and demonstrate dependability.
G. Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.

A. Requires High School Diploma or GED

D. Must be CPR Certified and have current certification.
