Provide safe and reliable patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including monitoring and reporting patient reactions. Supervise unlicensed assistive personnel and maintain a safe, clean environment compliant with safety and infection goals.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current LPN license in Iowa and BLS certification. Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute rehabilitation is preferred.
Provides direction and supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e. Patient Care Technician), demonstrates clinical judgment appropriate for Iowa’s LPN scope of practice, uses problem solving techniques and time-management principles, and delegates appropriately. Assists in creating a positive work environment by working with team members to develop and facilitate initiatives to strive for positive outcomes in quality and care of patients. Effectively communicates with all team members, physicians, ancillary staff and all customers. Complies with all policies and procedures, and guides team members with compliance. Maintains a safe and clean environm Compiles with all safety goals, infection prevention and risk management policies and procedures.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
