Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients and families who may be under physical and/or emotional stress and to gather and exchange routine patient information with other health care professionals. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine best method of providing requested radiographs based on the specific or individual cases, enduring quality diagnostic radiographs. Ability to lift and position patient as needed, as well as stand and walk for up to 80% of work time when accompanying patient’s taking x-rays, delivering films, etc. Licenses and Certifications BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required License Radiographer (142) - State of Wisconsin required ARRT - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required Patient Care Responsibility Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
