This role provides practical nursing support in an outpatient bariatrics setting, delivering quality care under the direction of a physician or mid-level practitioner. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, preparing patients for evaluation, administering treatments, and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and hold current licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in Virginia, along with AHA BLS-HCP certification. One year of experience in a physician office is preferred, and the role requires strong customer focus, professional demeanor, and proficiency with automated computer systems including EMRs.
Customer driven. Demonstrates a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and a professional appearance and approach. Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Must exhibit skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
