• The Registered Dietitian II is responsible for intermediate to advanced assessment, planning, implementation, and oversight for patients with low to high-complexity nutritional needs.

• Position Location: UT Physicians Pediatrics Multispecialty Clinic Katy 23920 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX 77494 Schedule: Full-Time Position Key Accountabilities: Essential Functions Nutrition Counseling: Provide detailed dietary advice to patients, tailoring interventions to individual needs.
• Recommend and counsel patients, family, and/or caregivers on the appropriate nutrition plan to improve the patient's disease or condition management.
• Identifies information asymmetries to support shared decision-making.
• Treatment Plan Development and Implementation: Craft and execute comprehensive personalized nutrition plans in coordination with healthcare teams.
• Develop personalized interventions using advanced problem solving strategies.
• Maintains clear, accurate and appropriate patient/client records according to organizational policies, standards and state and federal regulations.
• Nutrition Education and Material Development: Utilize and personalize patient and family education materials.
• Professional Proficiency and Collaboration: Utilize training and educational materials and facilitate the training of colleagues in developing skills in area of specialty.
• Community and Health Agency Collaboration: Provide nutritional program information to community health agencies.
• Marketing and Promotion of Nutrition Services: Increase awareness of the nutrition services offered.
• Participates in team discussions to identify trends in clinical care and to target client/patient wants and needs.
• Quality Improvement Participation: Participates in continuous quality improvement activities to optimize nutrition care outcomes.

Good counseling skills and ability to relate to a multi-ethnic community and varied learning levels Registered Dietitian (RD) by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required Licensed Dietitian by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) required Specialty credentials may be required based on the assigned area of specialty to be obtained within 6 months of hire required Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and

• Education: Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) in Nutrition by an accredited or approved education program required
