This contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative on-site environment.
In this role, you will be pivotal in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support to our patients.
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement treatment plans for hematology and oncology patients Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care Provide education and support to patients and their families Maintain accurate and timely medical records Stay updated with the latest advancements in hematology and oncology Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license to practice in the state of New York Experience in hematology and oncology is preferred Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement
13 infusion chairs at the facility
Daily Census: 17 patients, including 4 new consults
Patient Panel: 60-65% hematology, 35-40% oncology
Lung, breast, lymphoma, myeloma, iron deficiency, etc.
Support Staff: 2 NPs
EMR: OncoEMR
Must be board-certified
