Responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow and safety through rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs. Maintains clinical equipment and coordinates with front desk staff to optimize the provider's patient care sessions.
Requires MA, BLS, and EKG certifications, with a preference for AAMA and AHA certifications. Must have experience in phlebotomy, EKG, and the EPIC electronic health record system.
External SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Phlebotomy & EKG experience required. Flexibility and proven ability to handle multiple tasks. Experience with common PC computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Capable of working in a practice environment/culture that promotes ongoing change toward process improvement. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: MA Certification required. BLS Certified required EKG Certified required Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
