The Radiation Therapist is responsible for accurately delivering prescribed radiation doses to patients using advanced equipment like linear accelerators. They ensure patient safety, provide education on treatment side effects, and collaborate with medical physicists and oncologists.
Candidates must have completed an accredited radiation therapy program and hold current licensure or certification in the field. BLS certification and familiarity with current radiation therapy technologies are required.
