The assistant supports the Social Worker in implementing cognitive activities for participants with challenges and conducting social work assessments. They are also responsible for home visits, providing community resources, and performing outreach for health care rehabilitation services.
A degree in social work or other social sciences is required. On-the-job training with a social worker is available for the successful candidate.
Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement The social work assistant will be under the direct supervision of the Social Worker and will be assisting in implementing cognitive activites with participants having cognitive challenges, social work assessments, home visits, provision of community resources and carrying out community outreach to inform the community of the center's health care rehabilitation services.
